Cigarette-smoke (CS) exposure is the gold standard for COPD model development. In most cases, COPD is linked to CS exposure. As such, this model mimics human exposure more accurately, thus providing the highest relevance to the disease in humans.

This document consists of examples of CS exposure COPD models developed in a mouse and ferret. Learn more on how researchers developed these models and the results of their studies.
